- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★This post office was built in 1968. The other portions of the building next to the post office or added in the early 1980s. Being a small post office it's often been feared in this community that this post office would be closed. With much alteration to the hours of counter service this post office has remained open. The lobby is open 24 hours a day. If you need to do conduct business with the postmaster you should check the schedule. The hours are sparse and sporadic. I have used this post office my entire life and have never had a delivery issue. And if I had special packages arriving the postmaster would call me. The original post office building that served Wildwood was built in the 1930s. It stands adjacent to it north on US Highway 11.By Tracy Street, February 15, 2017
